Over 100 Years of Serving Local Youth

Kiwanis of Fredericksburg is part of a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the lives of children and strengthening our community. Since our charter in 1923, we have been a driving force for good in the Fredericksburg region, from building playgrounds and starting the JM High School Band to sponsoring youth leadership programs and awarding college scholarships.

Our club is more than a service organization, it’s a network of neighbors, leaders, and changemakers committed to shaping the future of Fredericksburg. Every dollar we raise stays in the community, fueling programs that help children reach their potential.

Our Mission

To make a lasting difference in the lives of children through service, leadership, and community engagement.

Our Vision

A Fredericksburg where every child wakes up in a community that believes in them, nurtures them, and provides the support they need to thrive.

What We Do

Through hands-on service, fundraising, and partnerships, we:

  • Support Youth Programs: We sponsor Key Clubs at Chancellor High School, Stafford High School, and James Monroe High School, and a CKI Club at the University of Mary Washington.
  • Award Scholarships: In 2024, we awarded $13,000 in scholarships to Key Club students.
  • Fund Local Nonprofits: Over $30K was distributed in 2024 to youth-serving organizations.
  • Lead Community Service Projects: From volunteer hours to community initiatives, our members give back year-round.
