In 2024, Kiwanis of Fredericksburg awarded $13,000 in scholarships to deserving area Key Club students.
Kiwanis of Fredericksburg actively promotes advanced education opportunities for students in our area. Each year we offer scholarships to students who will be enrolling in their first year of full-time study at a university, vocational school, or community college. This application is for a scholarship in an amount to be determined by Kiwanis of Fredericksburg, and is paid directly to the educational institution the student will be attending this fall on a full time basis.
Over the past years, our club has awarded several scholarships to deserving college students in our community. These scholarships are made possible through the generous financial gifts of individuals, businesses, and community residents throughout our community that support Kiwanis of Fredericksburg fundraising events; most notably, our annual golf tournament.
Recipients are chosen based upon volunteerism, leadership roles, honors and awards, employment, personal statements, scholastic achievement and references. Specific questions can be found on the application.
Key Club members who are in their senior year and are interested in applying for a scholarship should check in with their faculty advisors. The scholarship application packets for the current cycle are typically released by mid-January of each year.
